How can you help the Fort Nelson Hospice Society?

  • By becoming a member.

  • By volunteering your time and talents during fundraising events, administrative skills, crafts.

  • By becoming a Hospice volunteer in the hospital or community.

  • By participating in a grief recovery program or other support group(s) or training.

  • By telling others about the Hospice Society.

  • By making a donation, gift, or bequest to the Fort Nelson Hospice Society.

 

Are you interested in becoming a Hospice Volunteer?

Qualifications:

  • Successfully complete a criminal record check.

  • Complete standardized training.

  • Listen without judging and not give advice.

  • Be a mature, warm and compassionate individual.

  • Respect religious beliefs without imposing your own.

  • Visit without fees to client or family in hospital or community .

  • Participate in ongoing volunteer education sessions.

 

             

Are you interested in Volunteering at the Hospice Thrift Shop?

  • Complete a criminal record check

  • Be a mature, warm and compassionate individual.

  • Respect religious beliefs without imposing your own.

  • Not required to take the Hospice Training to volunteer with the palliative patients or the bereaved.
